Kubota launches new L1-382 tractor

Kubota launches new L1-382 tractor: Building on the success of its versatile, dependable L1 Series, Kubota has introduced a brand new model,  the L1-382.

With its enhanced features, the L1-382 model ensures greater durability and productivity, whilst also improving performance and efficiency. Its attractive new styling reflects Kubota’s new design strategy, combining a dynamic appearance with superior robustness.

Amongst its most significant improvements is a new Kubota stage V three-cylinder 38hp engine with CRS, EGR and DPF technologies designed to minimise exhaust emissions and reduce fuel consumption. The L1-382 also boasts increased fuel tank capacity at 42 litres for longer working days.

In addition to its improved efficiency and enhanced performance, this tractor offers increased visibility and comfort, with a new platform design and impressive ergonomics, all controls being optimally placed and easily within reach.

The 8F+4R manual transmission has a two-stage clutch which allows the pto to be operated while engaging the main clutch. This is particularly useful when needing to change gears when working without stopping the pto. Alternatively, the L1-382 can be specified with the popular three-range HST transmission for easy operation and smooth control of implements requiring constant speeds.

Routine maintenance is simpler and quicker thanks to a one-piece fully opening hood, and a newly designed bonnet and side cover.

L1 Series utility tractors are renowned for their robustness and high quality, as well as their powerful diesel engines and outstanding lifting capacity. The L1-382’s Cat 1 linkage has a maximum lift force of 906kg, perfect for pairing with the wide range of implements offered by Kubota. It is also ideally matched with the Kubota LA525 front loader to make an invaluable materials handling combination.

In its efforts to further improve its offer and integrate the latest technologies into all of its products and services, Kubota continues to innovate, with the help of its R&D centres located around the world, whilst simultaneously keeping up to date with new market trends and the most pressing customer needs.

The L1-382 tractor will be available for purchase from March 2021.

Winter’s garden tractor

Winter’s garden tractor: As any owner will tell you, a Countax garden tractor is not only a mower, it’s an all-year-round machine that makes winter’s chores a lot easier. Countax builds them tough and durable for that reason and offers a range of accessories to see you through the winter months.

Using the tractor’s Power Take-Off (PTO) to drive powered accessories it becomes an invaluable utility machine.  One of the most useful is the broadcast spreader for easily spreading salt or grit on icy surfaces. It’s a must-have tool in the depths of winter to keep paths and driveways ice-free, featuring an adjustable flow rate and a hopper that holds up to 50kg of granular material.

Fitted with a front-mounted snowblade and a set of chevron tyres, the Countax becomes a formidable force in quickly clearing snow from your paths and drive. It has a tough, rubber-tipped edge on the snowblade designed to clear snow without damaging a concrete or tarmac surface. Hours of hard shovelling are reduced to a few minutes sitting on your tractor. The Countax dealer fits a mounting frame and yoke to the tractor and from there on it’s easy to fit and remove. It’s important to be prepared for what the winter might throw at you and have the accessories fitted in advance, so you don’t get caught out.  It will certainly pay to have the snowblade at the ready for those sudden cold blasts and heavy snow.

Chevron tyres are a good idea for extra grip on slippery ground and they are available for Countax C, B, and A Series. Sizes vary, for the C and B Series pair they are 45.7cm (18”) and the A Series pair 58.4cm (23”). The 4TRAC four-wheel drive tractors offer plenty of grip in snow and icy conditions but for a very harsh winter, chevron tyres can be used. These are factory fit only as the tractor has to be re-calibrated.

Even the toughest built accessories need looking after to ensure their longevity so it’s wise to make sure the spreader and snow blade are cleaned of salt to help prevent corrosion. It’s a fact that Countax painted components have surpassed 500 hours of continuous salt spray exposure without corrosion. But it’s also a wise person who uses a Countax tractor cover designed to protect it when not in use and stored in a garage or outbuilding. When the winter tasks have been performed it’s time to get the tractor serviced by the dealer, says Countax. So it is good and ready for the first spring cut and summer work as a mower, scarifier and general workhorse. Find out more by contacting Countax on 01844 278800 or visit www.countax.co.uk/find-a-dealer/ to find your local dealer.

Add mowing to TYM Tractor to-do list

Add mowing to TYM Tractor to-do list: With TYM’s subcompact T194 and TS25 customers can expand their tractors’ to-do list to include mowing.

Both models are truly versatile additions to maintaining and caring for the grounds of private estates and large gardens. They tackle all the small and mid-duty tasks around the garden, orchard, paddock, woods and fields with ease and, in the T194, deliver a quality cut to lawns too.

A dependable 19hp engine in the innovative T194 has generated acclaim in the market since its launch last year because it brings customers the functionality of a ride-on mower with the additional features of tractor.

Equipped with a 54-inch mid-mounted deck as standard, mowing height can be adjusted from the seat via the onboard height-of-cut lever which is easy to use and intuitive to set. Its tractor credentials excel on the category one three-point linkage and 540 rpm rear PTO which allows for many rear-mounted attachments to be fitted.

The TS25 meanwhile brings more power, upping the ante from 19hp to 25hp, and with a mid-mounted mowing deck will mow brilliantly too. With a hydraulic lift capacity of 600kg, it’s renowned for delivering superb value and outstanding performance. An optional front loader further increases its versatility opening it up to many more applications such as landscaping and light groundworks.

Both can just as easily handle the tasks of summer and autumn, as well as winter sweeping and clear-up, and spring aeration, it’s what gives both their reputation as all-season machines, says Steven Haynes, TYM’s sales manager at distributor Reesink Turfcare: “These machines really are neat little workhorses and particularly appeal to customers who want a powerful, multi-purpose option in a compact package all-year-round.”

Both tractors benefit from a powerful diesel engine, hydrostatic power-steering for effortless manoeuvrability, a tight turning circle ideal for barn work and paddock clearing, and a heavy-duty, four-wheel-drive front axle for greater traction where needed.

Steven continues: “TYM understand the requirements of its customers: one machine with a range of abilities and the benefit of being able to mow earns its place in any shed. It brings value and versatility to towing, moving and maintenance tasks. These smaller tractors are widely termed a multi-tasking wonder and with good reason – they provide customers an effective, but compact solution for most of their needs.”

Reesink Turfcare, the UK distributor of TYM, has long been known for offering more when it comes to its service, after-sales support, parts and warranties and new for 2020 these models are available with a three-year bumper to bumper warranty package to safeguard customers’ investment.
