Scottish sales agreement for Foamstream

Scottish sales agreement for Foamsteam: Drymen based ground care and garden equipment supplier Fraser C Robb has been awarded exclusive sales rights in Scotland to sell Foamstream, herbicide-free weed killing equipment.

The system has been developed by Weedingtech, who have successfully launched this product in markets around the world. This deal will, for the first time, provide customers in Scotland with access to an environmentally friendly solution for clearing weeds.

The Foamstream herbicide-free system can be safely used anywhere, particularly in places with high footfall and where there are animals as well as next to waterways and delicate ecosystems. The system combines heat and water with a foam solution that is both safe and highly effective. As well as removing weeds, the system can remove gum, remove graffiti and clean street furniture.

For many users such as councils, private estates, golf courses, facilities companies as well as many others, it will be far more cost-effective as fewer applications are needed each year. The system also dramatically cuts down the requirements of manual labour.

As Fraser C Robb Director Lorna Robb explains this new deal represents a significant addition to their range of environmentally friendly products.

“Our business is within a National Park and we know from our customers throughout Scotland the sensitivity to our land, waterways and public areas, Foamstream will allow them to kill weeds in a way completely safe to the environment. This system will also be more effective in keeping our towns and cities clean, saving organisations time and money.

We are delighted to be bringing this product to market in Scotland and working with the innovative team at Weedingtech. We have seen the impact of it being introduced in other markets and know that this product will be revolutionary to the operation of councils, land estates, sporting facilities etc. throughout Scotland. This is an excellent addition to our growing range of environmentally friendly garden and ground care equipment”.

Aaron Matthews, UK & ROI Sales Manager at Weedingtech said

“After many conversations with prospects in Scotland, Fraser C. Robb were the natural choice to be our distribution partner due to their fantastic reputation among their customer base and the instant enthusiasm they had for the product. They certainly have the expertise and experience required to offer the very best customer experience for Foamstream clients.

Toptracer appoints EMEA Sales Director

Toptracer appoints EMEA Sales Director: Toptracer has announced the appointment of David Cederholm as the company’s new EMEA Sales Director as the business continues its global expansion.

Cederholm, who joins the company with a wealth of experience across several different industries, will be tasked with overseeing sales strategy and the overall growth of Toptracer Range across the region.

“We are delighted to welcome David to his new role at Toptracer,” commented Ben Sharpe, Toptracer President. “His experience in helping to implement technology to elevate businesses to the next level is something that really resonated with us.”

“We look forward to seeing the impact that David will have as we continue to accelerate our worldwide growth and help golf ranges and facilities turn their offerings into modern, forward-thinking entertainment destinations – and in turn, offer the tech driven experience the consumer now expects.”

A lifelong golfer currently playing off a handicap of 4, the role represents his first steps into the industry having garnered a wealth of experience leading sales strategies across sectors.

Cederholm began his career at Just Eat in 2006 as one of just four employees in the UK. He was with the company for six years, in which time orders grew from 100 a month to over a million, and saw the team grow to over 600 people. He led the sales function in the first nine of 13 eventual international market entries.

After leaving Just Eat, Cederholm started and scaled two other start-ups from day one of market entry: one in fashion, the other in automotive.

Since then, he’s worked on market expansion in the app-based taxi business and, most recently, returned to the takeaway food world with a SaaS platform that allows owners to take control of their own business and customer retention.

“The common element between these different verticals was it was all about selling change into traditional owner/operator businesses, where the introduction of technology and then user expectation drove change – something they had previously been reticent to adopt,” commented Cederholm.

“That’s something that I see as a common link with Toptracer Range, and the goals that I am aiming to implement in my new role. There’s an exciting, technology-led future for the golf and entertainment industries, and I will look to drive that forward with Toptracer Range at the forefront of the revolution.”

In Qatar, Stephen worked at a main Toro dealership and Doha Golf Club, before taking on the role of Machinery Division Manager at Nakheel Landscapes which is where, over the last three years, he worked alongside John Coleman of INFINICUT® to spec machinery for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. When travel restrictions came into force earlier in the year, Stephen returned to his roots in Northumberland and the opportunity arose to use his acquired knowledge to support to dealers and customers across the North of England, Scotland and Ireland – along with spearheading exports and the construction of a worldwide dealer network.

“Joining the INFINICUT® team is hugely exciting” comments Stephen. “It is a quality British-built product, driven by technology that demonstrates a real understanding of what is required by today’s turf care professionals. It quickly became evident to me, working together with John and the INFINICUT® product, that this range is very much the future of the mower industry. Their engineering prowess continues across the multi-functional TMSystem™ collection, which delivers versatility, durability and precision to a wide variety of turf maintenance activities.”

Although Stephen only joined in the middle of September, he has already utilised his many international connections to remotely establish dealers in India, Thailand and South Korea and he looks forward to supporting these, and others, with product and sales training as and when travel restrictions ease.

Record Engcon tiltrotators sales in France

Record Engcon tiltrotators sales in France: Engcon is a world-leading supplier and global manufacturer of tiltrotators and accessories for excavators.

Expanding internationally has been Engon’s strategic focus in recent years, to great success. In France, Engcon’s French subsidiary has seen strong growth, and 2019 was no exception. Delivering results that far surpassed its annual target, ranking third overall in the Engcon Group, behind far more mature markets such as Sweden and Finland.

Record Engcon tiltrotators sales in France

Engcon started operating in France in 2002, and has since established itself as a market leader. Long-term local investments are now producing good results, such as the opening in 2015 of the French regional office in Mennecy, and a large storage facility holding about 1,500 spare parts to be able to rapidly serve French customers. The demand for tiltrotators in France has been steadily increasing. During the period 2015–2019 sales increased by 400 percent.

”Since 2002, we have been working hard to establish the tiltrotator as a phenomenon in the French market and in 2015 we started to really see an impact. A number of operators who are innovators have managed to influence the adoption of our products, which is evident in the 2019 results. In short, it was an excellent year driven by favourable market developments. But we must not settle for that, which is why we continue to implement our ambitious development plan”, says Patrick Régnier, Sales Manager at Engcon’s French subsidiary.

Why French operators love the tiltrotator
The success in France is based on a number of factors. Engcon’s biggest strength is that the parent company Engcon Group, is a world leader in the industry. Engcon can initiate major changes and create new standards in the market. Based on these standards, the French subsidiary advises users, and guides them based on their needs and the type of work they perform.

Another important strength is the ability to sell a complete system and not just tiltrotators. Customers have understood the benefits of combining Engcon’s wide range of products and accessories.

”The launch of the automatic quick mounting system with EC-oil by default gave us real momentum. The French love the offer and it has contributed greatly to our increased sales”, continues Patrick Régnier.

A demo says more than a thousand words
Engcon’s slogan on the French market is “A demo says more than 1,000 words”. To meet and learn from customers the subsidiary invested in a truck and a mini excavator, so that Engcon staff could travel around France and demonstrate Engcon’s products. The purpose is for end users to directly discover through a demonstration all the benefits that Engcon’s products bring to excavators and operators: safety, efficiency and profitability.

Engcon’s French team, which consists of eight people in March 2020, will grow further during the year to meet customer needs and demand, which is expected to contribute to continued growth. Plus, more service partners will be contracted in order to be closer to customers.

”A strong presence in the field is required to serve our existing customers and at the same time attract new customers. We want to become the Engcon Group’s largest subsidiary within five years and the tiltrotator should be as common a sight in France as it is in the Nordic countries. Now it remains to be seen how to address the ongoing Corona pandemic and its challenges. I hope we get through this quickly, not least for human health and well-being”, concludes Patrick Régnier.

Engcon continues to expand globally, with investments in North America and Asia (+ Australia) and in emerging markets in Europe.
