Lloyds Mowers return to SALTEX: Lloyds Mowers will be showcasing its highly regarded Paladin cylinder mower along with the trailed Leda standard and Giant gang mowers at SALTEX 2023.

The Lloyds Paladin is one of the very best fine turf pedestrian mowers available and is a fine example of classic British engineering. Available in 21” and 24” width of cut, the Paladin, Paladin Dual and Paladin TG have a choice of various bladed cutting cylinders, ranging from 5,9 or 11, single or dual adjusters and a turf groomer. Lightweight, easy to manoeuvre with an ultra-short wheelbase, the Paladin excels when cutting cricket wickets and squares, bowling greens, golf greens and tees and it is also ideal for maintaining fine lawns.

SALTEX visitors can also expect to see the renowned Leda standard and Giant gang mowers from Lloyds, which are used extensively for wide area mowing. The Leda standard gang mower maintains fine sports surfaces such as sports fields and cricket outfields while the Giant gang mower is ideal for maintaining semi rough and amenity spaces.

The cutting units have a superb through flow of grass and leave a high-quality finish. Both models are available with pneumatic or cast wheels and have various multi cylinder options with a choice of 4, 6 or 9 cutting blades.

Featuring a simple and robust build quality, these sharp, well-set gang mowers will perform in dry or wet conditions.

Synthetic solutions from Syn-Pro: Visitors to SALTEX 2023 can expect to see a range of Syn-Pro by SISIS products on stand E070 at the event which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, on 1 and 2 November.

Syn-Pro by SISIS is a range of synthetic turf maintenance equipment, ideal for sand-dressed, sand-filled, irrigated and rubber crumb 3G/4G surfaces. They are used around the world for routine and aggressive brushing, grooming, decompaction, infill distribution and debris collection of synthetic playing surfaces.

Synthetic solutions from Syn-Pro

Here is a snapshot of some of the Syn-Pro products that will be on the stand.

Osca3

The Osca is a tractor mounted powered oscillating brush with a 1.9 meter working width and is equally effective when used on synthetic turf with sand or rubber infill. The two oscillating brushes stand the carpet fibres up and redistributes the infill evenly, minimising compaction on the surface and improving its performance – giving consistent playing characteristics while preventing pile damage caused by reduced infill levels.

SSS1000 sweeper

The SISIS SSS1000 is a towed sweeper which can be pulled by any vehicle. There are no tools required for the adjustment of the brush or the angle of the draw bar and to make storage easy the draw bar lifts to an upright position. With an aluminium hopper with stainless steel mesh, any infill that is collected when using the machine is returned back down to the surface leaving it free from contamination of debris.

Twinplay with Flexicomb and Brush

The SISIS Twinplay single pass maintenance system is perfect for busy groundspersons as it incorporates a mounted frame for two implements such as grooming rakes and brushes. The implements are fitted to the mainframe in any order and can be independently adjusted to achieve the desired effect. Compact, robust and versatile – the Twinplay makes life a lot easier for many groundspersons.

A popular combination for the Twinplay is the Flexicomb and Brush. The Flexicomb ensures even distribution of infill materials and lifts the pile. The adjustable setting ensures the effect of a rake, but with the softness of a brush, reducing the risk of damage to the fibres. The bristle sections are replaceable and the Flexicomb is designed for a long working life with minimal maintenance. For greater results, users can attach the Brush with the Flexicomb which helps to even out the rubber crumb.

The Syn-Pro SISIS staff will be available throughout the two days to answer any synthetic pitch maintenance queries visitors may have.
