Handy offers give retailers a sales boost: British garden equipment manufacturer Handy has announced a raft of promotional offers across a substantial range of garden machinery ideally suited to Autumn tasks. Retailers can benefit from increased margins on leaf blowers, log splitters, chainsaws, hedge trimmers and more, of up to 34%.

Autumn is a busy time in the garden as the big post-summer tidy-up begins, planting for spring takes place, and gardeners around the nation prepare for the dormant winter months ahead. Having the right Autumn gardening machinery in stock is essential to meet customer needs and provide valuable sales opportunities.

Handy offers give retailers a sales boost

The unusually hot summer months the UK has witnessed this year have left lawns parched and worse for wear. Repairing and reviving the lawn is an early Autumn task, which starts with scarifying to remove thatch and moss. The Webb WEESR electric lawn scarifier and rake from Handy is a quick and easy way to achieve this and now has a retailer margin of 32%.

A further convenient piece of garden kit is the garden blower, which makes clearing up those seemingly endless Autumn leaves a breeze. Handy has special offers on blowers, and combined Vacuum/Blowers that also shred debris into a compostable mulch, across its Greenworks cordless, The Handy and Q Garden electric, and McCulloch and Webb petrol models. There is a wide range to choose from to suit all budgets.

Autumn is the time you’re most likely to hear chainsaws in the garden, as larger trees get pruned and turned into firewood. Handy has a comprehensive range of chainsaws and log splitters. There are ten chainsaws included in the Autumn promotions, including Greenworks cordless, Webb electric and petrol, and McCulloch petrol models. Log splitters on promotion are from The Handy brand, from an 8 Ton Vertical Electric Log Splitter through to a 4 Ton Electric Log Splitter with Guard, all with a 32% retailer margin.

When it comes to getting rid of all your leaves and branches after pruning back those trees, a shredder is ideal. Three shredders are included in Handy’s special Autumn promotions: The Handy Electric Impact Shredder with Box & Detachable Hopper, the Webb Electric Silent Shredder with Box, and The Handy Petrol Drum Chipper Shredder.

Toro UK dealers visit US Head Office: Toro U.K. Limited recently took a group of UK dealers to Minnesota, USA, to visit The Toro Company’s global headquarters in Bloomington, and tour one of the company’s manufacturing facilities.

Dealers had the opportunity to tour Toro’s headquarters to see first-hand the vast testing facilities that underpin the quality of our full product portfolio, and visit Toro’s Center for Technology, Research & Innovation. They were shown how Toro utilizes cutting-edge technology in the development of new products. This included experiencing the many applications of Virtual Reality in product development and watching prototype parts being 3D printed.

The group was taken to the Toro manufacturing facility at Windom, Minnesota, where they were able to see zero-turn mowers, snowblowers and specialty equipment manufactured and assembled. Dealers were impressed by the scale of the operation, and they were able to have a Q&A session with the factory team leaders to better understand how Toro has adapted and managed through the current supply chain issues the industry is facing.

Adding a bit of Minnesota fun alongside business, the dealers had an opportunity to experience full Toro hospitality when they went to watch the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago White Sox. Enjoying a real American institution on a glorious summer day, the dealers also saw the full Toro fleet in use at the baseball stadium in preparation for the game, before enjoying a drink and the atmosphere.

“I was so pleased to be able to take a group of dealers to visit our colleagues in the US, now that Covid travel restrictions have eased,” said Craig Hoare, Sales & Marketing Manager – Toro U.K. Limited. “It was not only a way for us to say thank you to our dealers, but it was also a great opportunity to expose UK Dealers to the extensive infrastructure that backs up the UK operation and to share some of the plans, investment and products coming from Toro in the near future.”
